How to crop a photo into a sparkle
- Drop a photo, paste an image or choose a file from your device.
- Drag the photo under the frame. Zoom with the slider, wheel or a pinch, and adjust its orientation if needed.
- Choose the output size and format, check the preview and save your image.
The four points extend from a compact centre, with curved sides drawn inward between them. Keep faces or important details close to the middle. Textures, gradients and lights can fill the narrow tips without needing to remain recognisable.
Photo sparkles for decorative accents
A sparkle crop works as an accent on a celebration card, beauty moodboard or photo collage. Check the cutout at its final size: the central area is much smaller than a circle. PNG keeps the curved gaps transparent over another design.
Save as PNG, WebP or JPEG
The file is square even when its cutout is not. PNG keeps the area outside the frame transparent with the fill switched off. WebP can do the same if your browser can write it; otherwise this tool saves PNG. JPEG fills the background with your chosen color.
Choose 512, 1024 or 2048 pixels for different display sizes. Full keeps the available detail in the cropped area, up to 4096 pixels. Enlarging a small photo cannot recover missing detail. Your image stays in the browser, with no account, advertising or upload.
