How to crop a photo into a shield

  • Drop a photo, paste an image or choose a file from your device.
  • Drag the photo under the frame. Zoom with the slider, wheel or a pinch, and adjust its orientation if needed.
  • Choose the output size and format, check the preview and save your image.

The shield has a flat top, vertical upper sides and a curved lower edge that meets at a point. Place faces or lettering above that lower taper. Check the preview with a thin outline to see exactly where the frame cuts the photo.

Shield photos for team cards and club graphics

Use a shield crop for a player portrait, club presentation or crest-style graphic. Save it as transparent PNG to place it on a coloured card. This tool cuts your image to the silhouette; it does not add heraldic details, text or a team logo.

Save as PNG, WebP or JPEG

The file is square even when its cutout is not. PNG keeps the area outside the frame transparent with the fill switched off. WebP can do the same if your browser can write it; otherwise this tool saves PNG. JPEG fills the background with your chosen color.

Choose 512, 1024 or 2048 pixels for different display sizes. Full keeps the available detail in the cropped area, up to 4096 pixels. Enlarging a small photo cannot recover missing detail. Your image stays in the browser, with no account, advertising or upload.
