How to crop a circle

  • Drop an image on the frame, paste one, or choose a file.
  • Drag to move it, scroll or pinch to zoom, and turn or mirror it if it came in sideways.
  • Choose a size and a format, then save. The preview shows the file exactly as it will be written.

The corners outside the circle are left transparent in PNG and WebP, so the image sits cleanly on any background. A JPEG has no transparency: the corners take the fill colour you choose.

Sizes that stay sharp

Profile pictures are shown small but uploaded large: 1024 pixels is a safe choice for most networks, 512 is plenty for an email signature. Full keeps one pixel of your photo for every pixel of the file, the sharpest the photo allows, up to 4096 pixels.
